Description

For this painting I was inspired by Frida's quote "Why do I need feet if I have wings to fly". And they are wings of hummingbirds and butterflies.
In many of her works Frida has painted nature, birds, hummingbirds, butterflies, caterpillars, leaves of different plants, big and small animals, demonstrating her love for nature so in this painting I represent her in nature, surrounded by several of these wonderful flying animals.
She is accompanied by a cat to reaffirm her position as a cat lover.

Painted at the beginning of the pandemic, this painting expresses my love for nature, my hope that humanity will change its predatory behavior towards the planet and become aware that all living beings, big and small, play a very important role in our lives and only by changing our attitude we can survive as humanity.
